 Kollywood megastar Vijay Thalapathy's upcoming film which was tentatively called #thalapthy66, as it the 66th film of the actor's career, has gotten a final title "Varishu:. Creating buzz for its pre-release business. Director and Co-written by National award winning director Varishu Paidipally, popularly known for his directorial work in Telugu films-Munna, Brindavanam, Yevadu, Varishu being the title of Tamil Version.

Varisu Release Date

Varisu is scheduled to be released in theatres in 12 January 2023 in the week of Pongal. It was planned to have a dubbed version in Telugu titled Varasudu along with a Hindi dubbed version, although the Telugu version's release is planned to be pushed on a Council urged theatre owners to give first preference to release only direct Telugu films releasing on 12 January 2023 in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the Pongal festival.

Along with the title of the film, the makers also  unveiled its first look on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, just a day before the birthday of megastar Vijay Thalapathy and gave an opportunity for fans to celebrate in advance. The poster features Vijay Thalapathy in a dashing look, all suit dark grey-colored suit and black shoes are completing the entire look. Vijay Thalapathy can be sitting a white coloured  object that has a shape of cuboid. The poster has the tagline. " The Boss Returns. "Have a look.

Varisu Star Cast

Pushpa fame Rashmika Mandana is playing the female lead opposite Thalapathy in the film. Along with thee actors, the film also stars actor Prakash Raj, Prabhu, R. Sarath Kumar, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shaam, Shivaji Guruvayoor in supporting roles with superstar Mahesh Babu to have a cameo appearance in the film.

Varisu Makers

Varisu marks the first collaboration of Vijay Thalapathy with director and Dil Raju, who is helming the project under his Sir Venkateswara Creations. Popular music composer is also collaborating for the first time with Thalapathy, he is to compose all six songs of the album. Along with Paidipally, the film is co-written by Hari, Ahisor Solomon and Vivek with Tamil and Telugu dialogues written by Vivek and Srinivas Chakravarthy, respectively. Rambabu Kongarapi is co-director the film. The film ha cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by National award winning editor K.L. Praveen. The Telugu version Vaarasudu is backed by PVR Cinemas.
